Are there any local-ish airfield days on the south coast?? I'd like to do one to have a play with a reduced risk of hitting anything before going on a track.

If there are some, anyone fancy giving it a blast??

I believe there's one at Shoreham aiport in the near future? It's been organised by the local TVR club I think? I've got more details at home.

Cheers Dan,

Do I take it you'd be interested??

The best i have found so far are both with Motorsport Events, they run at two semi-local tracks.

Keevil - between Bath and Salisbury www.motorsport-events.co.uk/keevil_airfield_circuit.htm

Hullavington - J17 of the M4, north of Chippenham
www.motorsport-events.co.uk/hullavington.htm

Both run a noise limits of 100DbA and are £99 for the day

i think i may be pushing it but I will get my noise tested asap. I doubt I am going to have the chim saturday to go to goodwood but if I do I'll try and get it done then. If not, as soon as the chim is back I'll try and get to goodwood and get it tested

Fair play - I'd like to be as close to home as possible - 2 hour journety before you start is not really what I have in mind. If you could dig out the details of Shoreham and post them, that'd be great.

Could always give Southampton Airport a call I suppose.......

Shoreham Airport Meet

Wednesday 2nd June
TVR Club Track Evening at Shoreham Airport. Meet at the Main building from 7:00pm.

I found out about this through my local V8 club, but I got the impression it was for TVRs only on the track and that we would be spectating and chewing the fat only?

Do any Southern TVR people know more about it?

From the E. Sussex TVRCC emails, I gather the trackside action is TVR only. All are welcome to spectate, though you may need to let the organisers know soon, so they can prepare for the right numbers.

Few of us going tonight, sadly it is TVR only for the 'parade'. Airport bar is open to public but you won't see much of the action on the runway from there. There is however a live webcam on the airport website. Look here:www.shorehamairport.co.uk/webcam.asp
