Maybe a silly question but why 6pm on Friday evening when most people could not possibly get there in time and are knackered in any event. Surely a weekend would be far more popular?

I agree. I cycled there from Parkstone, and there wasn’t much people around (although enough to mess up my shots). A Saturday would be much more popular.

It is strange, but the formula has worked very well for a good few years now, the one that gets me though, the bike night is on a Tuesday and that is attended by literally thousands of bikes.

funny old night, followed a black spitfire for the last few miles, arrived 6.15ish parked up right down the bottom, started to walk back up aiming to take photos of any cars with P.H. stickers on.
saw a pub with food so thought we would beat the late rush and eat first :-[ by the time we had eaten the light had dropped and the wind picked up, within a few steps we felt rain drops, took walk back to car to put roof up just as it really started to come down, looked like a fair few were leaving so after a few moments of contemplation, we fired up and made our exit too, only took these 3 photos (and one of them is mine)
still its only May.....

didnt see a sticker but thought worthy
