Morning All.

Can anybody recommend a soft-top repair shop in or around Chippenham/Swindon/Bath/Bristol/Trowbridge kind of area please? Specifically for a Mk3 MR2.

Many thanks

Andy

I took my old Alfa Spider to Birmingham because I couldn't find anywhere decent locally.

Was that for a new hood or a repair? Who did you use? I could use it as an excuse to see my sister! hehe

I've found a replacement job in East Sussex for £1k fitted. If it can be fixed I'd rather take the cheaper option though!

It was a repair.
The company was called "The Hood Guys"

I dealt with the owner (Gary) on 0121 444 2288

Excellent. Thank you. What did you need doing and, if you don't mind me asking, was it a costly procedure?

I managed to break the rear screen (by putting it down at -8 celcius..... well 'ard us Alfa owners lol)
It's inbuilt on the Spider, so they unstitched the old one, stitched in a replacement and tidied up some frayed areas at the same time.

Cost me 140 quid all in and took about 4hrs whilst I waited..... they're walking distance from a shopping street and a pub for lunch.

I know its a bit of a trek, but this guy did my TVR roof and it was great, he doesn't advertise, but relies on WOM:

Not really the same, but I just had two new windows put in my sprayhood on the yacht. Very similar to a convertible hood, unstitch the old ones, and stitch in replacements. They charged me about £130-ish, not too bad really.
