Having bought an old 1st gen Insight I need to get the wheels sorted.

They are a machined face alloy, but I'm aware that this is costly to replicate, so I'll happily settle for a bright powder coat finish.

Can anybody recommend somewhere that is close to Bristol & not too ecxpensive please?

Can highly recommend Lepsons in Swindon ( http://www.lepsons.com ). Had the wheels on my 911 C4S refurbed there. Fantastic job, even matched the original Porsche finish. Dropped the car off and they even gave me a lift to and from the station. I know they now have a facility to do diamond cut Mk5 Golf GTi wheels, so may be able to do the machine finish. Think my wheels worked out at around 260 quid all in, balanced with new valves.

I'm looking at getting mine done and heard great things about Lepsons but one thing that really has put me off
is they have no secure parking. The car would be left outside for the 3 odd days it takes to do.

Understandable.
Having been there i dont think I'd fancy leaving anything desirable outside overnight.

I'd also recomend Lepsons. Took a friends wheels there, and trust me, you will not find a bigger tart when it comes to things being just right, needless to say he was more than impressed.

Must admit I'd have been happier if they'd had a secure compound or kept the car inside, although I guess the car being on axle stands without wheels is some sort of theft prevention measure !!

I think they do offer "loan wheels" for popular sizes and you can always take the loose wheels in if you have massive concerns.

That's where my dilemma is.
I'm not leaving the Aston sat round the back, they don't have loan wheels to fit and I have a single garage so taking all four
wheels off whilst in the garage would be impossible frown
Pain in the butt to be honest as everyone I've spoken to has said how good they are.

I have alarmed garage space and axel stands that you could borrow. Might need to check the car for size first. Alternatively Rudler car storage would, I'm sure, do you a deal on a weeks storage.

I may just go for some Moon Discs (Moonies) to complete the Jetsons look.
