Are Pro Tyre at Bristol still the recommend for wheel alignment in the WSM/Bristol area?

Anyone had theirs done recently?

Had mine done there last Saturday along with 2 new front tyres - getting to know them quite well as they're only lasting 6k miles a set on the front.

They did the alignment too and were happy to take me into the garage and show me the current set up versus the tolerance. I don't even think they charged me for correcting it. A print out was given of the old Vs new alignment.

Some seriously nice cars in there too.

Hope that helps.

ETA crap spelling.

Had my ibiza done there, chaps were happy, helpful and enthusiastic in getting my car spot on to the setup I wanted after fitting coilovers.

Would use again.

Thanks all

LG - yep, saw that earlier but a bit out the way for me, so Pro Tyre it is!

M3 currently feels awful, hoping the alignment will sort it, or point out the problem at the very least!

very helpful and knowledgeable chap.
talked through set up and dialed in a bit more camber for fast road work.

highly recomended and a bit cheaper than pro tyre

Looking at that last printout it looks as though they didn't touch the cambers. There's still c. 20mins more camber on the right side front and rear!

Lee at FCM is ex-Protyre and top chap, he does my cars. None of this "well, it's within manufacturers spec" nonsense, he'll get it spot on.

Angrey Apples

a friend has an M3 SMG and gets high wear on the outer front edges of the front Contis, do you get the same? was this picked out in the alignment at protyre?
i dont get this on mine

Did pro tyre knock the locating pins out on your car to change the camber?

where do you get your servicing done (I have a Z4MC)

hope its your set up turns out ok

cheers

LOL!

Thats the main prob I took mine in for

thumbup for Pro Tyres

Ride feels loads better, seems like top work by Pro Tyres (but its the commute to Reading next week when I'lll see for real - will report back)

Definitely a good idea to book in there guys, I waited just over an hour before the car could be seen and thats on a Friday early afternoon, so wouldnt like to try Saturday morning!

CK - service wise I always go to Stuart at Forza West in Chepstow - if you search this South West forum you'll see loads go to him - honest as the day is long, cheap and damn good at his job (BMW master tech gone indy)

He constantly has loads of work on (does BMW/Mini/TVR and now Merc) - his workshop is rammed with cars every time I go there - this to me speaks volumes

Well, first trip on the M5 since the alignment - excellent, feels ultra stable at motorway speed (69.9mph)

Does the Bristol one have a load of Jap cars in it?

Drove past today, all I could see in there were a load of Jap looking drift cars with all the stickers on.

I'm sure before there used to be Wheels and tyres on display in the window?

It's been a while since I've driven past, so it might have been like that for a while?

Yep, it's a bit like a scene from The Fast and The Furious in there.
