Just a friendly warning that the police are out in force by the wildlife park and towards burford. Cars bit marked and unmarked, bikes and vans.

Watch your speed chaps.

thumbup I will be driving on my way to a party in Carterton tomorrow night. Hopefully all the cop will be eating burger and coffee and I won't end up weeping in front of a judge

They were out last weekend too nearer to Lechlade in the layby where the electricity pylons are. I got a nono when I drove past in the Seven eek

I wasn't actually speeding but having just overtaken a car, the noise of the exhaust would have made them think I was hehe

They used to be there often in years gone by. Also used to do speed traps in Highworth before heading out!

That's worrying...one could get a fair lick up on that road given the chance! yikes and it wouldn't make pretty reading if caught!

That is worrying, i use that road alot going between lechlade and highworth and i generally get a bit of a wiggle on. Especially coming off the bridge which is always a good place to overtake doddering old fools who insist on doing 40mph. lol

With any luck it'll just be a one off. All oxfordshire cameras are back on so perhaps they are trying to get some cash to pay for them.

Hope I've not concerned anyone unduly smile just best to keep a beady out.

I once saw a 911 Turbo (993 i think) overtake c10 cars along the straight after the bridge! I didn't try to follow in my Mum's mk3 Astra (despite being 17!).

Well this is a public forum so i wouldnt want to incriminate myself, however even by my ambitious standards c10 cars is a damn good effort.

Its a shame about the speed traps thought as its one of the few stretches of road around here that actually has a good surface and generally is a nice safe wide road.
