Not car related I am afraid, but the drains at my house are being dug up over the next two weeks and the pipe goes under my Koi Pond, therefore I need some tanks to put them in temporarily. Does anyone have anything suitable I could borrow please?

All help appreciated

Do you know what size you need? Though I am in Swindon I do have an old sump
tank from my marine tank that if you take the baffles out will give you 18x15x39.

Thanks for the offer LL, but what I am after is "large". I have Koi up to 20 inches in length (x6) plus 4x6" plus a number of goldfish up to 12 inches each. What I am basically looking for is something like the tanks used in aquarium shops that sell fish to the public - probably 6 foot by 3 foot by 18 inches at least. If I can't get anything I am going top make a temporary pond in the garage with railway sleepers, but really don't want to move them if I can avoid it

No worries. Have you thought of a child's swimming/paddling pool?

unfortunately the chemicals are an issue with these as they leach out from the plastic into the water. Hence my request for help as the container needs to be designed for fish (or food - large plastic veg oil containers are good)

Tried searching Ebay for a plastic sandpit structure? I guess you need the depth as well with Koi - I know they like deep pools. What about a water butt from B&Q?

Or you could try your local freeserve site?

We put our koi in one of those blow up swimming pools, the large ones with pumps. Bought off the net. Kept them in it for a few days while the ponds were re designed, no problems at all.
