I am due to go on a road trip on Thursday - Saturday through France and Belgium, and my car has just had mechanical issues and will not be fixed in time frown

Does anybody know a hire place near Swindon that would be willing to rent a driver orientated car for a reasonable rate. I am not looking for anything fancy and would happily take an mx5 or cheap hatch to use, as long as it gets me their and gives a bit of driving pleasure.

Any thoughts appreciated, as time is obviously short.

Thanks

I hired a quattro from Vintage Classics to drive a friend to his wedding. Very Gene Hunt! The experience was hassle free and the hire ccost was c. £250 for the weekend hire I think.

with all of these things you'll need to ensure that the hirer is happy for you to take the car out of the country - there are insurance issues regarding this and if you are nto the owner there is also a form which needs to be completed by the registered keeper citing that you (as the hirer) have permission to take the car out of th country. This is not a Vintage Classics issue specifically but something which is likely to occur whoever you hire the vehicle from.
