Hi everyone I would like to introduce myself, I am starting a new venture after over 8 years of working in various workshops on all types of car from transit to TVR's I have decided to start a mobile workforce.

I am specialising In Ecu mapping/chip tuning, mileage correction, alarms, car diagnostics and much more.Due to the economic state of the contry and also due to the fact I have petrol running through my viens I am offering very competitive prices and reductions for piston heads members.

I am planning on spending some time on this forum and would happily answer any technical questions.

Good to know. smile I can do all VCDS myself (for VAG stuff) but often find having vagtacho for mileage corrections / immobiliser code finding is also necessary. Contemplating the 290 euro outlay to buy the latest version of vagtacho.

Hi just to let you know the website is still a work in progress and needs spellchecking and grammar sorting. It is the first time I have ever done a web site. The reason I did not pay for a pro to do it was last month I spent over £12000 on state of the art equipment allowing my work to be of the highest standard, if I start paying for things like web design then it would result in my prices going up to cover cost. I hope everyone can understand this and the website is by no means a reflection on my work ability, at the end of the day I spent nearly 10 year working to be the best technician possible not best web designer. I appreciate any criticism and will try to rectify all issue with the website. Regards john

John,

looks like the kind of service PH'ers want to know about, but this thread is likely to get you a ban as PH has strict self promotion rules (namely if you want to advertise your services you have to pay for it)

But I hope that doesnt happend, and all the very best with the venture

Genuine question. Can someone explain the difference between "mileage correction" and clocking?

Hi mileage correction is the term used to alter a vehicles mileage, this may be needed if for example car ecu or clocks had been replaced with second hand unit from a car with higher mileage, also a lot of digital clocks ie renault espace can re set them selfs. Clocking is usually the term used for someone changing a cars mileage in order to sell for a higher price. As a responsible company I only change mileages for genuine reasons also due to digital mots you can see mileages on a yearly basis so clocking is almost pointless.

Ok pm me for my contact details if necessary I have a fair bit of experience with both BMW and Tvr. I have allways found Tvr faults to be quite entertaining and with great satisfaction when repaired. Regards
