Swindon Run Out

As the weather is showing signs of improving; anyone up for a run out early one weekend morning in the next few weeks?

I was thinking a Sunday morning possibly the 20th of this month and meeting at the Churchill in Wotton Bassett?

I was thinking of heading out towards the Cotswolds (Quenington etc) or south towards Zig Zag Hill. Basically lots of B roads with the intention of an early start and to be driving for a couple of hours max. Another alternative would be to head over to AV8 at Kemble for a coffee and bacon roll before returning home.

Anyone else?

Just realised that it's the last games of the six nations on Saturday 19th... And I've got an open return ticket to London...

Which means I'm not exactly sure where i'll be early on the Sunday morning so might not be available! (probably somewhere in Wales if I fall asleep on the last train home, on sat night )

Right chaps, the 20th it is. So as to make the most of quiet roads shall we aim for an 8.00 am start, meeting at the Churchill in Wootton Bassett?

Zig Zag Hill may be a little ambitious being about an hour away. I will ring them first to make sure they are open, and will plan a route that will take us over to AV8 on Kemble Airfield (it still seems too grand to call it by it's proper name) where we can have a coffee and a bacon roll. Will aim for timings that will see us return to Wootton Bassett by 11.00.

Here's hoping that any remaining salt will be washed away before then and that the 20th will be dry.

It's a 1.8 Superlight with a Supersport R conversion, so Roller Barrel Throttle Bodies and 165bhp. It also has an LSD, dry sumped oil, widetrack, big brakes etc.
