General call to any friendly PH mechanics near St Ives who might want to cast their eye over my Noble. Dropped down there for a few days ( heading back to Devon tomorrow morning wabol) and I think my diff is about to go. Just needed a second opinion.

Try Getragdogleg, he seems to know his stuff, met him on a Cornish PH meet a while back. He's not a regular poster though so you may have difficulty getting hold of him.

Have you got AA/RAC cover, just in case ?

If not, I have two friendly Citroen dealers that would store it for you if the worst happens, one at Blackwater (north of Truro) with an owner who drives an esprit V8 turbo. The other also runs all the recovery services for Cornwall, PC Tonkin in Bugle (St Austell).

If it lets go & your stuck somewhere, give me a ring on the mobile.

listen out for wheel bearing noises mate, hub nuts come loose as wheelbearings wear.
