Has anyone else spotted the new cameras (small round ones above the traffic lights) on the A4 Bath road, Brislington? They are on the main road junction near the Park and Ride, pointing in all directions by the look of things. Just curious to know what they might be for. I've had a quick google but can't find anything.

note noticed that or been up that way for a few weeks.

If on top of the traffic lights could be light sensing things to change the lights when less traffic?

Do they look like these?

If so, then it's more ANPR. Lots of them around Bristol already - I've seen them on Old Market, Fishponds Road and the Ring Road amongst others.

Had to drive past there again today, the ones in your link are present on top of traffic lights, but more interestingly there are square black sensors on tall poles pointing at each of the 3 lanes both inbound and outbound, I presume these are to do with some sort of test for the future congestion charging scheme.
