New to the area

Hey there guys,

I'm moving down to bath on the 8th and looking for a car club or the like to meet up with. I don't have a car at the moment but do a lot of rallying and what not back home so just wonna check out how you guys do things. I'll be hanging round till about July if there's any big local events you could reccomend.

Bath is literally minutes from Castle Combe circuit.

It has race meetings every bank holiday, so there will be racing on the 25h of April, 2nd & 30th of May plus Saturday 18th June and 23rd of July.

Japfest is a massive car show and track day held there, this year it's the 14th of May.

You could go join either Bath or Bristol Motor Club, they hold regular sprints, hill climbs, auto solos, club nights etc...

British hillclimb championship are there on 30/31 July 2011, but all events there are usually excellent.

Afraid to report that Colerne is now shut to all motorsport activities. New surface, and the MoD don't want it wrecked.

But airfield days run at venues such as Hullavington and Keevil, which are also close by.
