See the Dartmoor triangle thread for some ideas.
Going to Torpoint (over the bridge and back on the ferry or vice versa) isn't bad either.
Haha was thinking the same thing will be staying in Torpoint so may do that or as I remember there are some good twisties on the way out of TorpointGoing to Torpoint (over the bridge and back on the ferry or vice versa) isn't bad either.
Hiya
I go quad biking quite a lot aswell as the Jag, so hunt out the good roads
Take the ferry as stated, then go as far south in cornwall & skirt the coastline. Have a coffee in the cafe at Seaton beach, then head north away from Looe.
Or from Plymouth you could go north to Tavistock and towards north Devon, fast sweeping roads

torpoint to trerulfoot is a good road just watch out for bikes, its a bit of a favourite for a blast, otherwise head out on the moors via plympton and lee moor, past caddover bridge to yelverton then out to princetown and beyond! some great roads out there!
Just checked on google maps did the Torpoint to Trerulfoot last time I was down will check out your other suggestions thanksDanny there arn't that many good roads near plymouth. Torpoint road is the exception. Dartmoor is also fun but lots of people driving at 35mph, if it's sunny, is a pain.
If you get time head north from Saltash through Callington to Launceston, and drive the B3254 to Bude. It's a fast flowing beauty, with very little traffic and enough places to past what there is. Then head down the A39 to Davidstow. If there's snow around waste an hour chucking your car around the old run ways, side ways. If not don't bother they are too bumpy any other time. Then take the A395 past the wind farms. If your feeling daft enough you could probably max your wee Frenchy down this road. Just watch the dips (plod do). At the A30 roundabout, head across the A30, towards South Pertherwin. Then take the B3254 & B3257 back to Callington. You wont regret it it's a great loop. I drive to the beach most weekends.

... Saltash ... to Bude ...
+1; that route takes in some nice roads
Couple of other roads that have potential (can have a bit of traffic weekdays, but good overtaking)
A387 - Looe to St Germans
B3359 - Looe to East Taphouse
