Hi all

Planning on taking the OH and the car out for a short run tomorrow pm, just to get some air in her lungs (both the OH and the car smile ) and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for short run?

We normally either nip up to Burford (via Bibery way) and then back via Chippy, Stow etc as one run; or, nip down to Avebury via Marlborough. As nice as these are we have done them a few times so are getting a bit samey.

Any suggestions would be great (bearing in mind that the run does need to have somewhere on it to stop for a cuppa smile )

cheers thumbup

I was going to suggest a great trip but I had a look at what car you have and I'm not sure its quite suited to it. More a sort of route for an Impreza, quite twisty and bumpy

Not too worried about the twisties...its the bumpies that might be a concern hehe

Have a good day out Graham. I took the old girl (the car not Lady B) out for a blast across the moor this morning. Stunning if a bit cold round the ears.

I love a run out at this time of year...the cleaning afterwards, less so (in winter)

I cant think of many other good driving roads around Ciren other than what you've mentioned. Most of the road seem to have no overtaking spots so you get stuck behind the Ciren pensioners!

I would love to hear of any others if any one else knows of them.

If your out Stow way then visit Legends on the industrial estate in Bourton-on-the-water. They always have beautiful classics on display. There's only one way in if your car is lowered as the speed bumps through the housing estate are actually twinned with the Himalayas.

Nipped down to Avebury via Wootton Bassett and Marlborough(went over the Ridgeway). Roof down and bloody nippy it was too hehe

Warm cuppa in the National Trust place at Avebury and then back home. Saw another AM near Avebury (think it was a DB9 in a sage green type colour)

Very bracing smile
