Hi all,

Mrs AA's MR2 radiator has gone (air in the system has screwed it apparently)

Anyone have a way of getting one cheap?

(best price so far has been £220+VAT)

Cant believe the sodding timing of this! (though I apprteciate it would probably go in the winter...)

years ago (uni days) and skint my rad went big style, I was driving a toyota at the time and couldnt afford the price of new jap parts so went to some fabricator type place round by the test center (sunnyside road?)
they charged me about 70 or 80quid i think to rip the end plates off and weld them onto a std radiator that was 99% the same size, that they organised.
dont know if they are still around but it may be worth a try.

i just took the rad out, dropped it to them and picked it back up a couple days later with a shiney middle on dirty ends!

Try the owners clubs. Often ones come up for breaking and they might have a radiator.

There are 2 big owners sites that I know of that cater for the Mk2

No problem at all. I've got stock available on an overnight basis, so just let me know if you get stuck.

Cheers

Come on Matt, bite the bullet. fill it with water & drive it to the garage to p/x it.
even if it is a boxster, you'd get a good deal this time of year.

Perfect for you
