meant to be going to wellington, near taunton tomorrow morning to drop my car off but not sure what the weather is doing down there. i'm supposed to be dropping my car off to a garage, and getting a courtesy car for a week.

is it snowing down there at the moment? most of the trip is motorway and main roads, except the last 400m or so. they're usually open 9:30am-1pm on saturdays, and i had planned on getting there for about 9:30. trouble is now, i don't fancy getting there (1.5hrs drive) and finding they're closed. should i wait until 9:30, phone them and then drive down? problem with that is, it messes my saturday up quite a bit....

what do you guys reckon?

thanks.

Ross, I live about 5 miles from Wellington. No snow but we have rain at the moment which is hitting roads at around zero. However all the main roads have been gritted and are easily passable. You should be OK to come across to the SW but take the last 400 yards or so (off the main road) very carefully.
cheers LBS

I'm 50 miles south of Taunton and it's pissing it down, not a lot of help, but I just wanted to feel part of something.

good to know. annoyingly, the sensible side of me says wait until 9:30 and just keep ringing them until i get an answer. i really would like to get there early, and i'm sure it'd be fine. i just don't want to get there, and find they're closed!

was snowing pretty heavily here, but thankfully i live on a pretty main road so it's only setting on the cars and pavements. it's still snowing but the flakes are much smaller now and sleet is due over night. i fking hate snow! metcheck is saying you're not due to get under 0c tonight... but it still could freeze in the more rural areas frown

could you give me another update either later on or tomorrow morning if you just happen to be on the comp smile

thanks very much even if you can't, made me feel a little more confident in being able to go down there.

Hi Ross, only just come on line now. How's it going? A lot milder now and just some annoying drizzle.
