Myself and Stubby Pete are off to Llandow circuit (just west of Cardiff) on the 4th - that's next Saturday.

Price is £80 (+£20 for an extra driver) for all day.

Morning: 3 sessions of 20 minutes for each of 3 groups (novice, intermediate and expert)
Afternoon: Open pit lane with maximum 10 cars on track

Noise limit is 'quite relaxed'. wink

Some helmets are available at the circuit to borrow.

Anyone fancy it?

Liked the Dawnice Beckley video to the right.

Far more curves than the circuit

Hmm, too tempting for me, but need to save my money. Still getting over a waste of a day at Mallory Park last Friday! £99, fog and about 1 hour on track, and it was dodgy as hell - no grip!

Well, I got a full day in the pouring rain a couple of years back. Some videos. biggrin

Grip is still surprisingly OK in the wet, still cooked a set of front tyres.... However, you cannot overcome the fact the track is wet, etc. As I find out at times in my videos. biggrin

You have to book direct with the circuit as it's one of their track days.

Dave - I guess the sessions will go ahead unless it's snowing or utterly awash and thus dangerous. How about the Beemer, or Becky's car?

Saxplayer - the only thing I know is that Pete has said that there is usually no noise test, or a relaxed one.

What would the chances be of getting on at the last minute at a bargain price? biggrin Very tempted but wouldn't be able to commit until about 2 or 3 days before this....

There are places left, give them a call, doubtful you'll get it cheaper but worth a go.

I'm also thinking I will give them a call later part of next week if the weather looks dry I should be able to get the tyres warmed up

Tyres are my issue too. I need to safely cook my front tyres I have on as they are quite old having been on my current rims in a shed for the best part of 4 to 5 years.... (label on tyre says 2004 was when they were made) so I want to kill them as ride home on spare wheels. biggrin

Been to Brands Hatch today and the car survived woohoo some minor attention to small areas to prep for next week.

Someone has also backed out so I've got a space free for a share of a BMW for the day, primarily suited to a novice for some experience. Entry and wear and tear included, £80+fuel with no damage excess.

If anyone's interested, let me know.

I'll be there.

Should be a quiet one this close to christmas.

Hope it's a dry one.
