A friend of mine is planning on organizing a karting meet here http://www.theraceway.co.uk/ which is just off the M5 at Junction 18 and asked me to see if I can get any interest.
£45 per person for a day or £15 for 15 minutes.
I'll post up more details when I know.

Yup that would be me who suggested it on facebook ^_^ as i know he's more popular , so figured it would be easier to get some interest drawn up.. Don't forget they have laser tag game there to

As for date time etc I think it'll be best to get an idea on who's interested 1st then take small deposisits to secure booking & placements

Can't find anywhere on the website where it says £45 for a day?

Went a few weeks back on a Sunday for the arrive and drive session.

First time I'd been there. Was really good!

It was on a leaflet my punters left in bus so I told Jon the prices (from my dodgy memory) so might be wrong >_<

Yes, but can't do:

Nov 6th
Nov 20th - Smeatharpe drag racing
Nov 27th - LLandow track day

We went to South West Karting last November - I think it was £30 for a minimum of 15 people (teams of 3) for an enduro event of about an hour and a half.

Endurance I think is best because everyone gets equal time in the kart rather than beginners being eliminated fairly early.

Get deposits up front. Karting is notorious for drop-outs.

If that was London, the leaflet would be offering the services of certain young ladies.....

Paid £25 last time for half an hour. With the 3 for 2 offer.

I think it'll be a fair bit more than £45 for a whole day, maybe an event that last a few hours?

Either way, I'd imagine me and my cousin might be up for it depending on dates thumbup

Really, whos organising that as I thought all of Smetharpes days allowed for motorsport had been taken up by rallying? smile

Blimey those prices seem steep.

Here's the Cheddar prices:

http://www.southwestkarting.co.uk/events.html

£30 for 1 1/2 hour endurance.

Hmm the Avon raceway was just a thought as I know not all of us are in Bristol so it was nice simple choice straight of M5 & bam your there, buy yeh its quite pricey maybe if we had group it would be cheaper? Idk I'll pass the word around on Sunday see how ppl feel with it then go from there

It's not written in stone so the venue could easily change to another one ^_^

Me and a few mates went down to the Raceway at Avonmouth on Sunday and it was closed, the sign on the door said 'closed due to waste water spillage'. We headed down to W-S-M and upon speaking to the guy there it seems that Avonmouth may have gone bust?

Could be a bit of a bummer if that's true as we have an endurance event there on the 18th with our motor club.
