Hi All,

You know how people always say, “nothing handles like a hire car”, well this is a fine example of that!

Following someone having a slight altercation with the rear end of my Jaguar XK, I’ve been given a loan car while mine gets repaired. When the third party’s insurance company said I’d be getting a ‘suitable’ courtesy car, I expected to be given the usual bland derv eurobox.

Never for a minute did I expect this to turn up!

God only knows how much this must be costing per day! I reckon the chap who hit me may see a slight increase in his premium next year!

Nice, has that got a matt black wrap done on it? Or is it just dirty?

Enjoy, I certainly did with mine for 2 years....

Yes, it has been wrapped in matt black. It looks good, but its a nightmare to keep clean. I think it might have been Darth Vader's company car!

LOL

Exactly what I had whilst the M3 was in for bodywork!

Loved the speed and handling, hated the poor quality interior

I agree. It’s great fun to drive and goes like a missile, but I am starting to miss the comfort and refinement of the XK. But, I guess it’s unfair to compare the two. One’s a true sports-car and the other is a Grand Tourer. It’s been fun having it for a week, but I’m looking forward to getting the Jag back now!
