In your workplace.......does your reception have the Wow factor

I am doing some research and would love to take a peek at receptions with fantastic customer service and the wow factor

Can you help at all?

I think for the company I work for our reception is much less than WOW, it's bleedin' boring.

I actually can't remember the last time I got a WOW feeling in a reception. Your welcome to come and look/have coffee and see how it's not done.

sounds like your reception needs the same attendtion as ours

surely someone works in a company with the Wow factor reception ??????

Not quite a reception area, but the reception received by the staff at The ArchAngel restaurant in Frome was fantastic - they are brilliant in there - really made you feel welcome and spoilt - highly recommended

Now to find another one

Our reception has a table tennis table and a piano. biggrin

(I work in a large house)

ETA: That is, it's not really a reception. It's just the hallway.

Our reception is terrible. Monochrome paint scheme (only refurbished this year)

A couple of plants, no signage other than H&S, PPE requirements etc.

The actual reception is upstairs from the entrance, hidden behind a glass sliding window.

Some of our customers receptions are fantastic in comparison, open plan, sofas, TV's on the wall, modern decor etc.

I work for a chemical company, mainly supplying carpet/textile companies if it makes a difference.

EDITED to say, I just realised this is in a regional section so ignore me!

Hmmm. I'll follow this with some interest.
We moved into new premises recently and the offices and conference facilities are great but reception is a little ho-hum.

Ours is good, lots of glass, leather sofas and chairs, wood floor, glass and wood reception desk, fresh flowers, works of art, and to top it all, a very pretty brunette receptionist

I just showed EMMA (the receptionist in question) your post. Unfortunately decorum prevents me from passing her message back to you

C'mon. You showed it to her so that she'd see you were interested, not because of my edit. wink

I was going to ta a pic of Emma, but according to her, she is wearing the wrong top. (i wasnt brave enough to suggest that in that case she could just take it off, might get done for harrassment)

Where i used to work, they got rid of reception & just had a phone that the visitor would have to call to say they were here. Anybody could pick that phone up in that office.
