To be honest, I don't think you missed much. Paid a tenner to get in, had a mooch around, struggled to park anywhere at first as just about everywhere had been allocated to car clubs etc.
There was some nice stuff there but it attracted too many 17-year-olds in Saxos swigging cider at 10:30 am.
It was good to see people hooning it around the track. But this didn't last long - the track was shut for at least 25 minutes whilst I was there due to an accident. Hope they were OK. I gave up and left.
And that 30 minute delay affected the rest of the sessions all day.
We only got about 10 minutes of 15 as a result unfortunately. When you pay £750 for a track session you would hope to get all the time. Aside from that, it was a good day, with good weather (once the real early rain cleared)
Anyone see my silver Skoda hooning it around at 2.45pm to 2.55pm ish?

Re. the airfield track days - which is the best in terms of surface and track layout? I only ask as I've heard some airfields are covered in stones and I've read a few horror stories about cracked windows and chipped paint etc.
Cheers,

I've done Hullavington and Colerne and both are pretty good. No worries about loose surface etc. Is not premium racetrack tarmac, but is still pretty good airfield/concrete type setup.
Cheers. Will look into those.I'm looking for something that will let me run, or at least try to, at v max at some point in the circuit. I know Bruntingthorpe short circuit is good for this:

Ah right - I should clarify that was for the WHOLE session for everyone on it. Not just me.... It worked out at roughly £30 per car going for the track session, with entry into the show/circuit too. This link will help explain - the amount of Skodas on track is a clue

I was there, not as good as previous years. First one i've been to this year so not sure whether the action days in general have gone downhill or not. No track-time for me this time, too many previous bad experiences of complete morons on track (unsurprisingly really) have put me off.
I went with My Westfield and it was very quiet. driving standards were okay but you do get pot luck really with any of these days.
The accident was slow to clear as a lot of oil was spilt but that can happen anywhere. Usually when the session is compromised for more than a few minuets you get another shot at it if you ask.
My tip on these days is have a good look and when you see a car like the Escort estate with pink wheels on track either A slow down and get a good view of the accident that will probably happen, or B get as much space between them and your rear end.
