Hi, Scottish PH Member requesting advice from the South-West team please. I'm going away for 9-12 months and want to put my car in to a storage facility where it will be safe and looked after and I won't have a bill for thousands of pounds when I return- tyres, fluids, electrics checked and turned over so the car is protected in the longer term. I've 'Googled' as you would expect and there are numerous companies in the South-West who do this sort of thing but I would be grateful for PH recommendations. Cheers OJ.

I know of a basic leave it outside secure(ish) storage in Plymouth at £1/day. Or in the South East, secure and looked after storage at The Classic Car Workshop 01903 744234.

Cheers Pete. The motor is an expensive toy and so I need to consider the secure and professional outfits. Most want 30 quid a week which is over 1500 pounds a year!!! But if that is what it takes for peace of mind a pain free experience so be it. Any others with experience please share. Cheers OJ

Ive used premier vehicle storage for over 2 years now on the outskirts of clevedon. Ive stored cars, race cars and motorhome there and Clive who runs the plac really knows his stuff. ITs very secure, remote but easy to get to from the M5. I cant recommend highly enough.

Others on here use him as well

OJ,

I used this place during a recent house move. Excellent but not cheap, however they do everything from basic storage to full blown hermetically sealed tents etc.

www.rudler.co.uk

The location is not advertised, but its not far from me...

... so I can always give it an extra patrol wink

Thanks Robo. A fine recommendation if I knew where to investigate further. Still, nice motor and given we're in similar businesses your recommendation must be good. O

Have used Rudler near Swindon. Very profesional and friendly. Also have some very, very nice cars in their care. Although I may have been the poor relation they never made me feel like it.

Always a good sign of a professional outfit...the customer care rather than the quality of the motors parked up.
