Hello chaps, I am the proud new owner of an mr2 turbo which needs a few belts and water pump changing and I'd like to take it to a garage that knows what they're doing, does anyone know of such a place in the south west? The closer to Trowbridge the better.

I have had a good price from Autotech in melksham, does anyone have any experience of them?

Thanks very much.

I'd be interested in knowing the same thing for places in Bristol, either Jap or Honda specialists for an ATR.

I know of a couple of places in Bristol, FCM motorsport and five stokes auto. FCM is quite well known amongst evo and gt4 owners and are supposed to be very good and five stokes isn't a jap specialist but are a very good honest garage that does have a lot of experience with jap stuff. Hope those are of help to you.

Just thought I'd add that the lads at FCM are great. I've had a few bits done there and they always made the journey worth it. Friendly, know thier stuff with Evos ( not sure on MR2s ), no hassle or rip-offs, can't recommend highly enough......not cheap though!

I definatly do not reccomend FCM, had a nightmare with them myself and I know quite a few others that have experienced the same. On the other side I know some people who are very happy with the work they recieve.

Only half hour or so up the M5 by the looks of it.

So you would recommend Richy then Dave?

They're website lists them as Mitsubishi and Honda specialists.

A few people on the ATR forum have recommended Performance Autoworks so I'm going to give them a call to enquire about a few things.
