Performance driving coach in the SW?

Hi all,

can anyone recommend a coach for performance driving in the SW

Don Palmer gets excellent reviews but his courses are based too far away for me

(at this point people attending H4H at Gloucester on Saturday can start to get worried.....)

I've had two very good sessions with RideDrive, including a bloody good time at Kemble airfield. They use a couple of local instructors and I can thoroughly recommend Paul Wilkinson

I did a 1 day Roadcraft / Police training type course, which began at Devon Driver Centre, Westpoint, Exeter. Was a very good day of advanced driving tuition. Not sure if this is really what you want though, or more for track application?

If you're after off-road limit handling stuff then I can't help, but if you want on-road training then I have a couple of suggestions:

One of the High Performance Club's Gatekeepers - Clive Jones is based in South Wales. He's a former chief of a Police driving school, so should know his stuff.

I've recently had a day with another HPC guy - Andy Morrison in Banbury. He was very good, and certainly worth the journey.

There's also someone near Worcester, but he doesn't advertise - PM me if you'd like the details.
