the hole in the wall isnt bad, you can park in queen square if you get the timing right

the cottage on the harbourside is pretty good and has a car park, as does the ostritch which has a public pay car park a few minutes walk away. mud dockis nice enough in the summer and next to a car park.

there are laods on the outskirts of town with car parks but the pubs are pretty dismal affairs.

Seeing as it's getting a lot of attention - The New Inn at Backwell. Big car park, so great vebue, especially as the food is nice.

The Mill at Rhode worked well a couple of years ago, but isn't actually in Bristol.

What's wrong with the Willy Wicket? I have only been once for a quick drink but it was quite nice iirc. (my opinion may be skewed some what)

It is a bit of a "chain pub" but nowt wrong with it. Pleasant enough atmosphere/interior, large car park and a good selection of guest ales.

I didn't get as far as the ales unfortunatelydriving To be fair it wasn't bad as chains go, but the food was pretty average and expensive for what it was.

What's your connection, Will?

idea

Maybe the clue is in the name? I'd be biased towards a pub called the "Yokel and Yertis", for example.

Compass Inn, Tormarton? It was good a few years ago but I haven't been in ages. The Westfield Club used to use it for their meets.

I guess it would depend what time of day you were thinking of and if you are planning to do anything else. Bearing in mind allot of people work on a Saturday
