Hi All,

Just on the lookout for a lake or something with a slipway, where I can drop my little boat in the water to run in the engine.

Have tried Cotswold Water Parks, but it seems they're now quite strict on what can and can't be used there.

Any ideas?

There's a marina of some sort in Gloucester I think, access to canals and the Severn?

Edit: here you go http://www.bwml.co.uk/marina/16/victoria+basin/ Any use?

Edit again: Also this http://www.saulmarina.co.uk/

Thanks for the options but no slipway at the marina unfortunately.

Managed to find a small caravan/boat park that has their own slipway in to the river, the bargain price of £8!

Obviously, we stuck rigidly to the speed limit. whistle

Hi there guys, I live near Cirencester in Gloucestershire......I want to get out in my dinghy on ANY lakethat will allow me to for a spot of pike fishing with my little lure rod! Does anybody have any ideas or suggestions where to go? That lake near Witney is probably a bit far afield to be honest and there must be one closer to me.....Appreciate any feedback or suggestions

Sincerely Jak C-B

For fishing try Haresfield in gloucester, there is a small farm with three fishing lakes (day tickets). People used too use small boats on the larger top lake. (sorry cant remeber the name of the farm)

For trying a motor on a boat, then defo Standlake at the water park, they have a slipway and it used to be £12 for the day.

Or Fairford way, there are loads of lakes out that way and Matt Hayes has used boats on them.
