Vauxhall "approved" servicing??

Hi all,

Anyone know locations in/around Bristol for servicing Vauxhalls still under mfr warranty that are not Vauxhall Masterfit? My wife's 2 yr old Zafira is up for 23k service and Vaux are quoting £300 before I've even driven the car in!! (This will be its 2nd service, one having been done at 10k, the 2nd at 13k by Network Q just before we got it) I find the quote from Vauxhall a bit hard to swallow.

I emailed Vauxhall directly for any details/list of their approved service agents to ensure I don't invalidate the remaining year of mfr warranty, but have received (surprise surprise) no response.

any hands/hints/ideas/previous experiences all welcome.

Hi Phil - We've been using Westerleigh Car Centre in Downend (957 4757) for years. (Audi A4, Subaru, Ford and RX8). Completely trustworthy.

I've always used www.SaltfordMotors.co.uk for Vauxhall servicing, got good old fashioned service and reasonable prices.

European Motor Vehicle Block Exemption applies. You don't need to use a Vauxhall dealer to maintain the car and keep the warranty.

I'm not so sure, some of these warranties are 2yrs manufacturer and 1yr dealer extension, or vice versa. Block exemption applies to the manufacturers part, not the dealer extension.

All Vauxhall vehicles are covered by a one-year unlimited mileage manufacturer's warranty. An additional second and third year no-fee customer option warranty is also available in the UK. This additional warranty carries a mileage limit of 60,000 miles from first registration for all cars and vans except Vivaro and New Movano vans, the additional warranty for which carries a limit of 100,000 miles from first registration.
