Can anyone recommend a valeting service in Swindon, preferably a mobile firm that will come to me? I don't need concours winning shine on a classic, but need to get my wife's Skoda a bit nicer - it was my parents car from new and is a bit doggy, grubby and generally in need of a thorough refreshment. Google throws up several – has anyone got any experience of Briteshine or Premier Autocare Valeting, or others?

Most important is a thorough shampooing of seats, carpets and cleaning all interior surfaces, though a going over exterior would be nice too. I'd been looking at what most people seem to call the "full valet". It's a ten-year-old Skoda estate so it doesn't need a proper detail with mega expensive unicorn bone marrow wax or anything, but although we acquired it in the autumn my wife doesn't yet really feel it's hers, since it is still stinky and grubby from its ten years as a family / dog / grandchild carrying hack, so just to clean it up nicely is the aim.

Dave is a proper geek, so worth talking to him for advice if nothing else. I don't trust anyone with my car, and my car was in pretty good condition before, but after he had it, I was dead chuffed!

He's in Swindon too so might be worth a look. Cheap, too. I'll try to dig out the photos of my detail last summer.

I normally do mine every 3 months but mine does very few miles and is kept in a garage so depending
on usage anywhere between 2 to 3 months.
I'm pretty sure the glass cleaner isn't mine as mine is still in the garage? do you think vauxhall left there's?

Dave,

Please could you get in touch with me so I can get a quote to detail my car. It's a 55 Plate Golf GTi. It is kept tidy but I think it is time to freshen it up a bit! I am based in South Cerney but I can always bring it up to you. Many Thanks - Guy

i need the exige machine polished too, just to get rid of the swirl marks. I bought a silverline polisher and all the relevant polished and pads, if anyone knows what they are doing they can do my car and then keep all the kit after as payment beer
