Westfield 1.8 Zetec engine install - help needed (Exeter)
Discussion
This is fairly cheeky but if you dont ask you dont get!
I currently have a 2.0l pinto in my Westfield kitcar. Ive bought a Dunnell prep'ed 1.8 Zetec with dry sump. Ive done lots of reading and ive got myself well and truely confused. The Zetec will fit onto the original type-9 gearbox, but the clutch is baffling me. Im selling the pinto complete so wont have the pinto clutch/flywheel to use.
So I need to buy...
Flywheel...ive bought a ultralight one from Turbosport
Mondeo clutch cover 93BG7563AA
Sierra 1.8CVH friction plate 93BG7550AA
Capri release bearing Quinton Hazel part CCT133
Spigot bearing 1596468 pinto bearing
Same pinto bellhousing/clutch release arm & bearing??
My Dad built the car in 1990 and ive inherited it. Im car mad and understand a Haynes manual but im not feeling confident to start/finish this transplant without it going wrong.
SO...WOULD ANYONE ON THIS FORUM HELP ME? Ideally someone who would do this because they enjoy tinkering. There'll be a crate of lager in it for you and hopefully its more of an guidance request rather than getting your hands dirty!
Its something I want to crack over the next couple of months.
Thanks in advance,
Olly
