Cheers,
Yes A30 there, that's the plan. What's the A390 Gunnislake - Callingston road like? seem more direct to Liskeard? Will avoid A30 again I think, done that so many bleedin' times!
Do you mean hang a right at St. Auwful or the lights at the top of Truro - St. Erme is up the top of there

If you want a fun drive, A390 to Callington, A388 to Launceston, short bit of A30 then A395 to Davidstow pick up A39 west, all the way to Fraddam, then Ladock Valley road (B3275)- limited overtaking but twisty.Yes A30 there, that's the plan. These are fun on a big bike, guessing you like bands in the car too, often come back this way from Plymouth!!
Truro shouldn't be too bad if you're heading to St Erme/Trispen, as you say, you'll be turning right at the top of Truro (there are back lanes off Ladock but not if you want your sump left on the Chim).

Looks good, although the last stretch - B3275 - takes us past Truro? I'll have been on the road around 3.5/4 hours by then so may not do it justice. I could though take the A39 as far as Indian Queens then drop back to the A30 in to St. Erme. These are fun on a big bike, guessing you like bands in the car too, often come back this way from Plymouth!!

Well, due to the st traffic on the way down we didn't get to Tiverton until about half 5 and were an hour there and were due in St. Erme at 7 so unfortunately never took the route.
However, on Saturday we had some great roads! followed my Brother in Law on his bike, through Truro to Lizard via Gweek - road was closed by police at Helston. Then back up to Helston and a quick stop at St. Michael's Mount, from there over to St. Just and a great coast road to St. Ives (got caught by some slow cars but managed to get by them in the end), quick visit to Tate St. Ives - feel a bit fleeced - then a rumble through the narrow streets - lovely.
After that some more nice roads through several places named Porth-somethingorother (don't remember sorry) back to St. Erme, about 140 odd miles of fantastic fun and driving.
Not one other TVR was spotted - couple of Morgans and Bentley, Aston etc.
Will mark the thread though for our next trip - thanks again guys

Yes the roads were busy, but in a way nice to go slower so we could take in the scenery. Didn't see any other TVR's except for a couple near Exeter, but did see 2 Morgans.
