Just wondering if anyone was up for meeting in Cheddar gorge and then heading up onto the mendips for a blast this Sunday lunchtime, weather permitting of course.

Well I missed last weekends meet near Wimborne, and Cheddar is much closer, so sounds like a plan to me.

Well the weather isn't looking too spectacular up to Sat, so lets hope that the rain stays away, I have a feeling its going to be a last minute saturday evening decision as to whether or not its going to be worth giving it a go.

Any thoughts on where you might be going, i.e heading South from Cheddar or East etc?

I'd been half thinking of organising a meet a bit later in the year when more cars are back out that included the best bits of the area like Cheddar, Burrington Combe, fast bits along the B314, up past Chew Valley, cruise through Wells etc. Not got very far with it yet though smile

That's only an hour on google (so more like 45mins at PH pace) and I think most of the roads are fairly scenic and interesting.

Ps. If i'm free and the weather looks nice I might come along for a bit and try to keep up smile

To be honest I'm not really sure, I go driving up there all the time and always take a different route. I was thinking of organising one in April when it will hopefully be a tad warmer. Only reason I thought to do a last minute one this weekend is that a mate with an F430 wanted to go blasting around the Mendips so I thought it'd be a good opportunity to have a low volume meet. If you're free one weekend we could go up and check out potential routes for a meet later in the year?

Cheers,

HF

Hmm Sunday isn't looking too great now, Saturday however is looking good at the moment. Anyone object to changing it to Saturday at around 1pm?

I'm not around Saturday as need to look at some cars to buy for the OH, and then we are off down to Torquay, but im still keeping one eye on Sundays weather. I never trust forecasts anything over two or three days.

This is true, the meteorologists at the BBC aren't exactly doing a great job atm, for instance on Sunday it was meant to rain and snow......but instead it was glorious sunshine in Weston and just a bit cloudy on the Mendips, so we'll leave it as Sunday. And AA sorry mate but I'm going to be in Madrid next weekend lol. We will have to sort out a proper april meet me thinks.

Don't think I'll be able to make this but like the look of the route, any chance you could post the link to the google maps route on here or email it to me?

Sorry, Can't make Saturday.

If Sunday brightens up and it's a goer? we might have 3 x ZT260s (2 x 400s and 1 x 260) wink
