Hi Guys,

My Mk.1 MR2 needs some work doing to get it through its MOT in March and I've also got some parts I want replacing (lightweight flywheel and new springs and struts), so I am looking for someone who I can be confident in mechanically (i.e. if I give them the workshop manual they can and will use it, whilst being mechanically good etc) and who can do a bit of rust repair and patch/replace a sill and I can trust to do a good job. If the work is good then I'll also have them do some other jobs aswell.

I work in Bristol but I reckon the jobs will take a while so, since I live in Calne somewhere in the Chippenham - Calne - Swindon area would be good.

Anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks!

I take my Mk2 MR2 to Thomas the vauxhaul dealer in Calne. They are very good there, trustworthy, and have done good work on my car.

PHer EvilC owns and operates a workshop / garage in Chippenham

I've used him for years and would recommend his work highly.
Both he and his chief mechanic compete in Motorport and modify their own cars, (a WRX, a P1 and a Chim at present) so should be able to cope with what you need doing.

They're on 01249 659453

Sawmills in Lyneham have MOT my 944 the last couple of times and done a bit of work to get through. Certainly no problems and more reliable and careful than a garage in Calne that came recommended.

I knew I could rely on Pistonheads to sort me out!

Thanks for the tips, I'll make some calls!

Cheers
