Well, as you may have seen, the Z needs some work doing to it. Where would people recommend? I've heard bad things about DL Spraymaster, so not keen on taking it there. Don't mind travelling anywhere in the UK, as long as the job is done properly.

Looks good, thanks. Unfortunately I think I have to go somewhere that is BMW approved.

What bad things have you heard about DL Spraymaster? They repaired/sprayed my R8 alloy wheels from silver to colour matching black when I bought the car from DL Ferrari and I think they did an exceptionally good job.

Whilst I've not used them for any bodywork, if they do as good a job on the body side, I'd be very happy.

I've used Picador in Southampton for a bonnet/wings respray of a VXR8 due to stone chips and they also did a very good job and through their sales side was able to negotiate a very good reduction on their normal rates.

Lots of bad comments on here. Seen it referred to as 'Spray Disaster', and Robocop had his 5 Series door done there with a complete colour mismatch that even Stevie Wonder would notice!

Rudloe Bodyworks in Corsham; a very small outfit and you might be forgiven for thinking "WTF?" if your saw their premesis but their work is top-notch and very reasonably priced. Don't expect a a cup of coffee in reception or a courtesy car though wink

Following on from this recommendation, I've had a trundle over to Rudloe Bodyworks and booked the Green Machine in for a few bits of paintwork. Seems a decent chap, good price - and I'll assume he's pretty good as he's booked up and hence can't fit it in until 1st June.
I'll happily report back in due course wink

Hi Pulse

I have worked in the Motor industry in the area for 28 years and have seen all sorts of body repairs, The good the bad and the ugly!

When my own car needs pain I will only let 2 bodyshops anywhere near it.

Bryn Jones in Filton
Philips car bodyworks in Yaton Keynel, near Castle Coombe.

Both have done VERY good work for me personally and for dealerships I have worked for or with.
