Whats the story?

Had a front on in my MR2 too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pR1NJtX9r-c

No airbags back then wink Glad you're ok but such a shame to lose what I still think is one of the nicest cars produced

I'm OK but a bit shaken and bruised. No malice in this accident, it was just bad luck.

I was going up the hill, and he was coming down the hill, the red car was parked on the side of the road on his side, so he slowed down to give me right of way, but his car just locked and skidded into mine. It was black ice on the road. There was nothing either of us could have done about it. Just bad luck really. Anyway no one was seriously injured, thank god.

Never nice to see a car damaged especially one that was obviously well loved. I assume no chance of fixing it?

My first car was an Allegro (waits for laughter...) I had that car 8 years and it did me proud. I had major guilt when I finally had to let it go to a scrap yard frown (He was called Harvey)

The other car I was gutted to lose (as well as angry) was my peugeot 205. It was written off due to a scaffolding lorry losing it's incorrectly secured load onto it. That was such a reliable little car and it lost its life early!!

Glad you are ok!

Could have been the Tamora, it will be a (relative) piece of cake to replace the MR2.

Blimey ,
Glad your Ok, sorry about the car. I had a similar situation lass week but managed to move away from the sliding car (Vaux Corsa) which in my case was being driven too fast and just headed towards me with some spotty youth looking in horror out of his windscreen rolleyes

Christ alive, not good! Had never seen the MR2 before - it looked lovely!

Glad you're OK, and you've got the TVR to fall back on!

If you need anything, just give me a shout.

Such a shame to lose a car you've had for so long, sorry to hear about that.

Glad you lived to tell the tale.

If I may ask, What are you going to do with the MR2?

I guess the insurance company will write it off and then sell it for spares. I'm only guessing because I don't believe they will repair it.

I suppose the engine is still sound? and many parts with it.

Would be great to know the broker the Insurance company will use...

The O/H's cousin is looking to rebuild something (which might otherwise not get a second chance) with some friends of his out Norfolk way.
