So who out of the South west lot wanna go? Might aswell make the first run out of the year one of the biggest. I'd be happy to lead a convoy from Swindon/Oxford area as I know my way to Milton keynes quite well.

What do you guys make of all the Volkswagen hate that's getting thrown around in General?
I've got to say I'm a little worried as my little Mazda hardly comes with a formiddable price tag nor a high hp value, all the talk of "Well I only attend to see the exotica...!" talk is rather off-putting.
The colour of my car isn't going to help me slip in unoticed either

If that's what people are saying, they're hardly PHers so you should discount them as those of the lower orders. Cheers for the reassurance Graham, but that's what a large proportion are saying
Loved the atmosphere at the karting and was expecting the same at a SS (possibly naieve of me ) but it's being hyped up to look like some strange automotive west side story, with the hardnosed "exotica" boys on one side of the car park and the young barry-boy types on the other.
Maybe I just have an overactive imagination...

Ah, well us down 'yer (especially me) in the west country don't really care what you're driving. A PHer is a PHer. We can't all afford Koenigseggs.Loved the atmosphere at the karting and was expecting the same at a SS (possibly naieve of me ) but it's being hyped up to look like some strange automotive west side story, with the hardnosed "exotica" boys on one side of the car park and the young barry-boy types on the other.

Definitely get to some of the meets in the south west this year for more of the same.
Speaking of which, clay pigeon shooting and quad biking on the 27th Feb...
Hehe! Thanks! You met my las at the karting, she's the one that needs congratulating. She's coped witht he morning sickness like an absolute trooper
I tried to pursuade her to come to the Quad-Shoot but she's worried that now what with being pregnant and all she shouldn't be doing such activities.

Why not join V8S and others on the Dorset meet the same day? No problem with attitude there...
And better roads.

Would be great but the Girlfriend loves VW's so seeing the Scirocco's on show at the VW learning centre will distract her from the wrinky person stuck inside her at the moment...And better roads.

Missed this bit! Congratulations, old chap! On to a more serious note, I've been to a couple of Sunday Services, Jays big Super car bash at Wilton and the Rolls Royce factory one at Goodwood and the atmosphere has been superb. This VW one seems to be attracting an awful lot of attention for all the wrong reasons, which is a shame because they are brilliant events.
I think Garlick is sorting something out with this today. Wether he turns the VW guys who have joined PH just for this meet away or allocates more parking I don't know. Have to say i'm not sure what i'm gonna do yet. Wait and see what the head honcho announces and then decide then methinks.
