I will be doing this journey in Feb.

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=EX39+6HQ&rls=com...
Most of this will be boring I know but once I am west of the M5 are there any particular roads I should take for fun?
I wouldn't be traveling in a hurry so could dive off motorway/a303 earlier if there is more fun to be had.
Which route would you do?

Hope you can help.

Cheers

Peter

Hi Peter, if you have time, come off at Bridgewater, follow the A39 towards Minehead, Some great streaches of road and great scenery as you look to your left onto Exmoor and right out across the Bristol Channel, just keep following the A39, that is a great route. If time is more pressing, carry on down the M5, pick up the A30 onto Sourton Cross, (just passed Okehampton), turn off and head for Holsworthy, take the A3079, then turn left onto the A3072, through Holsworthy and on to the A39 and turn right. BOL and HTH smile

Peter this one is worth a look, half of its B roads but in good condition, never more than a couple of miles away from North Devon link road A361. Youve got straights, twisty's, hills & dips.

Did this route early this morning. Not much traffic about, except a tidy Corrado VR6 which I passed going both ways at Wiliton.
