Not very good when you are making jumps wink

To the amusement of many ive been using a fertiliser bag, but surprising them with the speed it can produce lol.

I've been using a big plastic plant tray was going to build a stainless sledge, but the plant tray has hit me in the head so many times I think anything made of metal is a bad idea.

I just trashed my bodyboard in Ashton Court but it was great while it worked!

Needs to be a slick bottom one for extra speed mind and you have almost no control smile

Many years ago we used to use a PA Cresta bonnet, used to get eight or nine of us on it, fine until it started to go sideways....

A long time ago, actually a long long time ago when i was a kid, i used to have a push along cart, steer with your feet and hold onto the undersides while someone pushed you. When it ever snowed (quite often then) you used to be able to remove all 4 wheels and put some runners on both sides to convert it to a sledge it was great, but sadly have not seen one since and can`t remember what make it was.

Best fun I had was an old tin bath, about 3/4 size of a normal bath and quite heavy!

I woke up this morning next to my sledge on a golf course in Bath.
Note to self: Do not combine alcohol with a tent

laugh Good effort!

No need for a sledge now as most of the snow has gone. Even though itl probably wont snow for another 5 years or so I might just wait for a few ebay bargains once everyone tries selling theirs.

My local hardware shop had some shipped in yesterday, after selling out twice already. Have considered getting one for when we next head to scotland to find the snow. I don't think £12 is a bad price

Results of a few moments in the workshop on Sunday:

Managed a few runs down Lodge Hill before it got too dark - it's now imperative that we have more snow.

That looks like mine (Although mine's made of random offcutsbiggrin). I got bored of waiting for the shop to get some in so I knocked it together on Wednesday. Typically my sledge arrived in the shop on Fridaybanghead

I did look for offcuts, honest, but it was so effin' freezing in that shed, and so toasty warm in B&Q...

I went into an engineering supplies place in Bath to get round-section ally strip for the runners - 'You're making a sledge' said the bloke; 'We've sold out of that...'.
