Yes, that's correct - Russell Brookes in ex-works Manta 400. Be great to tell the grandkids you've competed against a true legend!

Still receiving entries in the post so get yours in now. Great excuse for shakedown or testing before the season really gets underway.

Plenty more banter regarding this event on the 'British rally forum' under the heading 'Weston-super-Mare Motor Club'

Hope to see many of you there.

If any local PHers wish to get involved in motorsport then now is your chance. If you'd like to marshall on this event then please get in contact with the Chief marshall Jeff Gunton on: 07905 363567.

There isn't any training as such.. The chief Marshall will inform you of your duties in the morning of the event. Feel free to give Jeff a call for more information.

Thank you to everyone who has contacted Jeff since writing this post. As a motor club it is always hard to find marshalls for whatever event we run.

Just an update for you all... I think we are nearing 45 entries now with more expected. It's promising to be a cracking event with some very quick drivers and machinery taking part.

Would there be any way for me to come along to take photos?

I'm happy to give the club use of any of them.

When you say it's a "non spectator" venue...do you really mean it? We definitely can't come and watch?

It's probably 'insurance issues' and having to provide various facilities as a public event.

Wish there was a disclaimer form we could sign to come and watch.

How are you, Ant? Last thing I remember I think one of the RSs was in for some work. All sorted?

Hi Graham...thanks for that. Bit of a shame as I'd like to go along to watch that.

The RS is back...but not for long! The engine and box are rebuilt and it runs and sounds lovely - there's a bit of a problem with the choke and one of the injectors and it's running very rich. I think I'm getting about 8 mpg! So it's going back in a couple of weeks for final tuning. It's got to be sorted as I've entered it in to the VSCC Pomeroy Trophy at Silverstone on 27th Feb!

Hope you are well - look forward to finally meeting up at an event this year

Hi all,

As stated, we are not allowed to advertise spectator entry. However, those of you who know the area will know that Dog Walkers still use the venue every day!

Final regs being posted out today.. So it's all go for Sunday. 43 confirmed entries with a huge selection of cars.

Anyone who wants to join the motor club, please let me know. We have a good calendar of events lined up this year including lots of socials, sandocross, autocross and plenty of Autotests and bbq's! Great way to get involved in motorsport.

Plenty, just wouldn't advise using it in the rallysprint!

We should be there too (not marshalling). Of course, I'll have a camera permanently attached to my face...
