I must say, the roads are remarkably good today.
After all the hype about how bad it's going to be, the gritters have done a stout job in my area.

Same for swindon, good on them, I love slagging off the council, but they have done well through this tough period, all major roads are passable and yesterday there were lots of buses about.

Inner city Bristol has been fecking awful - the main roads, including Glos Rd, and Whiteladies seem ok, but everything else hasn't seen ANY grit and is pretty inaccessible.

All the smaller roads are now ice - especially where pedestrians have been walking down the road compressing it all - so we now have lethal roads, and also lethal pavements.

Nice one Bristol.

Still, the Stadium is coming along nicely eh?

Been in Hanham for 22 years and seen a plow for the first time yesterday. the mains roads are very good so thats a plus. just a shame about minor roads. But you can't have it all

I haven't had problems on the side roads, mostly because the numpties have stayed away. It's also surprisingly grippy on the ice.

How young is too young for handbrake turns? redfacehehe

Now wait for the "I've been a prat post"

Agree that the roads are OK and the paperboy and milkman have not missed a delivery. But UWE was shut yesterday, City of Bristol College is still shut today,as are shops in Yate. We've still had no post and the bins have still not been emptied.

i'm impressed with the main roads there all pretty good although the ring road is still a bit dicy.

All the local car parks are still pretty sold so had lots of fun in them last night.. :-)
