Hi Southwesterners,

I'm going to be moving down to the Bristol area for 6 months for work, which will be based around Aztec West. Thus I am now reconnoitering places to live.

I'm not fussed about the city life having spent the last few years in various big cities. So I'm looking at some of the smaller towns/villages off of junction 18 of the M4.

Would it be a reasonable commute to AW from this point? As I understand it, that section of M4/M5 is a little....unfriendly.

Cheers,

RF

The Almondsbury interchange isnt good at commuting time, but from J18 there is a road that runs towards Westerleigh and onto the ring road, and iirc there is a turn off which then turns off towards Winterbourne and then across almost into the back of Bradley Stoke (and therefore Aztec West)

Something like http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&source=s_d&a...

Should be a good run til you get past the M4 and it might slow up a bit, but that road running alongside the M4 is good fun.

It will slow down significantly once you hit Sadly Broke though. I commute from Yatton Keynell to central Bristol - here's my route: http://is.gd/5Pmh5

I leave at around 7am and it takes 30 minutes to the end of the M32 so I would expect similar to Aztec West at that time.
