Today it took me 3.5 hours to get from my house (Kingswood/Siston Common) to work in Redland. It wasn't the weather as such, more the sheer volume of cars and impatient drivers blocking junctions. It took me 2 hours to get as far as Morrisons in Fishponds and an hour to get from the bottom to the top of Muller Road.

Anyone else struggle today?

Blcensoreddy Hell, don't envy you that journey!

Thankfully the R8 stayed tucked up in the garage nice and warm and my journey from Yate to Kings Head Lane, Bedminster was purely bits and bytes as I dialled into work from home all day!

Went out in the wife's Golf GTI to a farm shop at one point today and that was nice and slippy around Yate and the Iron Acton road!!

I'll be checking out how slippery before deciding whether to risk it or work from home again tomorrow!

Decided against the 40mile trip from Swindon to Bristol this morning. Anybody think I should chance it tomorrow?

It took me 90 fecking minutes to go the ten miles to work, Sodbury to Warmley. No local roads were gritted so pretty treacherous until I got to Westerleigh.

I left home in Portishead at 08:30, took well over an hour to get of Portishead and clocked in at work in Filton at 11:20.

I have no choice but to go to work tomorrow as I have to pick my car up from the garage...with the hill we live on, it could end up being interesting

Left Horfield at about 7.10, got in to work by Easton Way at 7.25.

Bristol to Portsmouth took 4.5 hours tho. Due to everyone else being too thick to drive in a touch of snow. Roads are not a problem, daft people are. I didn't get stuck once in my Connect.

Same journey this morning took 55 minutes! Roads are fine today, but watch out for fog in places.

Took SWMBO to work (as my Legacy is 4WD) from Westerleigh to Staple Hill and left her to walk by The Huntsman as the road was gridlocked and going no where and got back home after 45 minutes via Pucklechuch (total about 6 miles). Then in the afternoon met somebody in Bedminster who'd driven down from Worcester 1st thing with no problem!!

Yesterday the OH took 90 mins to go Bath to Southmead via A4 and ring road. Today took the usual 30-40mins via the M4 (I think).

I work from home, so there should be no problem - but I wanted to have the Impreza to get out in the daytime to run a few errands, so I ran my wife to work in it today and yesterday. It was fine, though I'm glad I've just got rid of the rubbish tyres it came with an put some decent all-season ones on it.

Doesn't seem too bad round Swindon.

fk me was the Portway lethal this morning.

Have the BMW back again, and was mooching happily up there in 5th when the thing snapped sideways suddenly and I had to be quick to catch it, but not before mounting the central reservation kerb - woke me up for sure!!!

Two accidents along the way, so it seems it caught a few others out too...

Be careful out there!
