Hi chaps and chappesses, also have this posted in GG, but thought a more local post might help.

So, this is the crux of the matter...

The venue of our wedding on Sunday (who shall not be named for naming and shaming purposes) have cocked up and no longer have a room for my bride to be to get ready in on Sunday morning. So, 5 days before the ceremony (which is at 12.30 incidentally) we are on the hunt for a wedding car.

Now, we are looking at professional hire, but I'd also like to ask here. Does anyone have an hour and a half or so to spare on Sunday morning/afternon (6th december) to drive my beloved from her fathers house to the ceremony venue? It's about 5 miles, and you won't need to do a return journey. Her dads house is in Churchill, nr Bristol. The venue is just between Yatton and Congresbury.

I'm not asking you to do this for free, if you've got a nice car and are willing to do it you will of course be compensated - how much is pretty much up to you, I'll offer money, chocolates, wine, champagne, beer, the best man for a night of bum love... whatever you want (within reason)

She doesn't much go in for the old classics, so would like a large, newish Mercedes, bmw, Jaguar, Range rover (if it's possible to be all dainty and nice getting in and out of one with an enormous dress!) or 300c or something... even a Phantom or Bentley (I should be so lucky!) But please, if you can do it I would be so appreciative.

Anyone able to help?

Thanks in advance

Ryan

Can't do it myself & getting in/out of an XKR won't be at all lady-like anyway, but give Darryl at www.distinguishedcarriages.co.uk a call to see if he can maybe recommend someone local to you from his list of trade contacts?

I just want to say thanks to Ken (Black1) who very kindly offered his time and car at a very reasonable fee.

The new F.i.L decided to go ahead and book a private hire car though, so Ken wasn't needed in the end.

Bloody nice chap for offering though.
You have to love the guys on this site, everyone is so happy to help others.
