bath itself has several large park and ride car parks or there is a huge municiple just near the hospital. Personally I would park and ride as that will be your best option.

Cant recal any really decent "secure" parking but not had a problem.

I'm not sure I'd leave a Lamborghini in a Park and Ride, even at Bath.

I wouldn't recommend you bringing your car this weekend. London Irish are in town and it's the german christmas market.

I believe their will be police checkpoints across the city directing people. London Irish are advising people to travel by public transport.

There is an underground barriered multi-storey car park under Waitrose right in the centre that you could use. Probably your most secure bet. I have left my car their overnight many times and it didn't cost an arm and a leg. They stop charging from something like 8pm to 8am but charge throughout the day. Hope that helps. I don't think ground clearance should be an issue but there is the possibility! Seen many Porsches and Elises down there which is a good indicator I suppose!

Bath is lovely but I wouldn't leave my car there over night (and I lived there for 2 years)... and the weather is bad all weekend so i'd catch the train and leave the car tucked up nice and warmsmile

Isn't that only for a maximum of 2-4 hours, or something like that?

I've used it before, and I remember having to go back to the car, drive out, then come back in and get a new ticket.

I didn't think you were allowed to park there for more than a few hours

Of course you could just park it on the street, not give a monkey's, and consider any consequent damage as patina / war wounds.

You could leave the Lambo at my house in Bournemouth, allowing you to take my 1995 Vauxhall Astra (1.6 16v GLS no less). This will give you an awe inspiring drive along the A350 in this high performance practical estate car, yet with the subtlety to just leave it at the side of the road without worrying about it.

Obviously the Lambo will need to be left with a full tank of Shells finest, and the Ellsmere Port express returned with a full tank.

Seriously I wouldn't leave a car like that in Bath for the weekend.

How about calling a couple of the decent hotels in Bath - they might have secure parking

On the same note...

Just come see me and I will take the car off your hands and I will constantly drive it around making sure no one can nick it. Then finally when you are done I will hand you back the keys and the car. Normally this is a costly service but you my friend may have it for a free.

BTW, Matt what happened to the Civic? Or do you have it still?

Their are limits old chap.

Yes I still have the Honda, the Astra is just more 'school run' friendly.

used that one on sat, yep short stay, up to 5hrs i think, 25 quid "late fee", think it take a photo as you come in! cost us 4 quid, park and ride was full.

I think it maybe cheaper than park and ride, for 3 of us anyway, not that cost would really come into it to save a quid! would rather park in that carpark than the park and ride anyway, few 911's etc in there as well

There is a small P&D car dark just off Kingsmead Sq, which is quieter than a Multi Storey but you will need to get there early.

Also there are on street spaces around that area which means the car will attract a crowd who will effectively watch over it.

The last Lambo I saw in Bath was at the bottom end of Milsom Street (on yellows) and had a crowd around it including a Traffic Warden.

If anyone had touched it, there would have been 100 witnesses.
