Ideally a V8 that they would like to demonstrate to me?
I have an odd desire for one (not exactly my usual ride) but I don't think I've ever even sat in one!
So if there was a kind soul who would be up to showing off a little it would be much appreciated.

Probably the ideal car for the amount of rain we been having in Wiltshire lately, or a land rover with a snorkle.

Strange, I've been thinking the same thing about a rangie plus you could get a LPG conversion to make it
a little bit cheaper to run.

I think you drove past me yesterday Lucky, going up Victoria Hill about 5.30?
Ideally an Overfinch LSE with Lpg - there must be at least 1 of those out there!
There's a classic with a Chim 400 engine for sale somewhere - although I doubt that makes many more horses than the original 4.2
There is also a newly refurbed Chim 500 engine on ebay....

Hi Ian, no cerb yet been thinking of getting something to put the dogs in and that I won't have a fit when it gets dirty....

Not sure if that was me on Victoria Hill, don't remember going over that wayconfused

I read somewhere that you get more power from LPG than petrol?? I was thinking of getting a Defender90 V8
and putting a supercharger on it just to make it a little crazybiggrin

you get less power from LPG it runs higher octane rating so you can increase compression but otherwise you tend to lose power.

He's had that years! CraigW spoke to him about it before he bought his LSE (have a look on the Land Rover forum) and apparently its that price or nothing as he could break it for more.
He may have changed his mind I suppose but then again. The price never changes.

Any excuse

This one was mine a while back, a 3.9 V8 Vogue SE that was almost fully loaded, it had been a friend's car for many years before I got it (he bought it when I was 17 IIRC) and I always told him I'd buy it when he got rid.

It cost me some money in parts (new gearbox a month after I got it) but I loved every second of driving it, took myself up and down the country towing various cars with no effort, marshalled WRC Wales with it, only sold it to replace it with a P38 that's now also sold.

I will return to classics one day though!
