Sprite finally arrived in style of things to come
Discussion
Well Chris did the slog up North yesterday to get the Sprite. By the time it arrived in the South West the battery decided it didn't have enough power to start.
So we had to wince it off the trailer - idea being to jump start it, only the leads are with the Ultima down the road. So there we were 7pm at night swapping batteries over by torchlight so we could get it up my short but v.steep drive.
The funniest part of the evening was when it kept stalling as Chris fiddled with the manual choke - apparently my non-technical tips after years of mini ownership in the family were frowned on by my OH but hey I knew where all the controls were in the dark!
But in the end he fell back on the good old rev the socks off it and he finally got it safely off the road.
The conundrum we are now left with is fitting a 1960's car in a 1960's garage - go figure!
(Personal opinion is it's all these tool boxes and power tools that are getting in the way!!)
