The Plan

Ok, so the plan as I see it is this:

Meet at Cheddar Gorge at 3pm. It'll be the large car park about three or four car parks up from the caves and shops in the gorge.

Aerial View

We then drive to the karting place on the other side of the village for 3.30pm SHARP for the briefing. If you're late to the Gorge, go directly to:

South West Karting
Winchester Farm
Draycott Road
Cheddar
BS27 3RP
Click for website

Our kart slot starts at 3.30pm for the briefing with karting commencing at 4pm.

Karting Aerial View

The consensus is that we'll go for £35 per driver for the 2 hour endurance race. We'll have to work out teams on the day, hopefully with a mix of abilities in each.

Sounds like a top idea biggrin
Was thinking of organising a karting race at Castle Combe for us Wiltshire lot in the near future, but looks like we could throw in a meet at Cheddar Gorge aswell. Seems really good value for money so put me down as a Provisonal 'yes' providing on the date. thumbup

I'll be up for this and I expect Dave will be too. 19th Dec is no good for me, sadly.

Happy to pay up front if need be, Graham.

Gives us a date to aim for to get the sprite MOT'd as the Ultima's been put to bed!
I'll put Chris's name up for the karting, so far all those dates OK with us!

I can see this becoming a nightmare if we just leave it to individual responses of "ok, I can make X and Y, but not Z" so I hope Graham doesnt mind me suggesting people use this?

(Graham, I'm assuming you're available for all dates?)

Unfortunately as my pre xmas diary is already getting ful, I can only make the 19th!

I might be, I was putting some 1:27 lap times around there recently with some improvement still coming.

Depends on funds.

Also, get 10 minutes free minimoto thrown in, they're fooking hilarious (until you lowside one as I did into the tyres).

Sounds good to me, although I'm going to mix things up and suggest the Weston track as an alternative: http://www.premierraceway.co.uk/site/ . Its a great track easily the most fun in the area because the surface is slippery and you drift most of the way around, its awesome. They can also put on food if we so require.

Seems more expensive for less time and less people able to do the endurance?

I vote Cheddar as well, Weston is great for small numbers and a bit of fun (you can pretty much drift the whole track), but you can't really overtake.

Hope it's okay for me to put my name down for this. Will be my first PH event.

My other half would like to come too if possible? Same dates as me as were off to her parents in Norfolk on the 14th.

Cheers for taking it upon yourself to organise this. Sounds like a great day out smile

Seems the 28th is most popular at the moment.

I think leave it til tomorrow or Monday and then book.
