The FEOC (Ford Enthusiats and Owners Club) are having a meet at Cheddar Gorge on the 8th of November and I was hoping that someone could point us to a good pub to meet at and get some good food.

Also id like to drive onto the Brean Sands at some point and was wondering wher exactly you can access the beach from smile

Alastair.

http://www.thebluebowl.co.uk/ is very accommadating for car clubs.Could also try http://www.burringtoninn.co.uk/ Depends really how many of you there is. Both would like to be pre warned regarding numbers etc. Both handy for a hoon around the Mendips.Brean sands easily accessible from the coast road that runs all the way from Burnham on Sea.The entrance to the beach is in Brean.

Go careful on the beach, been quite a few people caught out by quick sand and fast rising tides this year, http://www.burnham-on-sea.com/barb/berrow-van-09-0... keep up near the dunes and check tide time table, whatever you do dont let anyone be tempted to try and drive toward the sea, looks like you can drive out for quite a distance but nobody ever gets away with it!
How many are you expecting at the meet? might come along for a look!

You had a bad experience then?!? Only eaten there once ( a few years back now though )but the food was ok.Landlady was a petrolhead.Plenty of parking.Able to deal with large numbers if the need arises.

Not sure if there will be many of us as the s/w section is a bit sparse at the mo. It will probably about up to 10 cars but new members are always very welcome though biggrin

Cheers for the warning and directions to the beach! Will deffo be careful but I just want to get a few pics of the car on the beach so shouldnt need to go to far anyway smilewink
