I'm attending a mates Stag Doo on the first weekend in November- but have been approached by the best man for ideaseek

Nothing has been sorted out yet - which, TBH, I expected.

They are all away on detachments at present, & has left it a little late to be starting out for ideas.

I don't know exact numbers, but i'd imagine anywhere between 10-20 pers.

All lads going are serving Forces with a sort of Rugby Club (probably worse) mentality- which may help with pointers for venues.

Any haunts to avoid?

I need to stitch the lad up- big time.

Your help would be most appreciated.

For warming up I'd have said anywhere on King St is good (the apple cider boat, Llandoger trow, King William, Old duke etc). But these places are a bit tame for later on.

Quite a few popular bars/clubs along the waterfront although can be a bit hooligan/chavvy depending where you go. But only a short walk from those above and a bit more modern/clubby.

Then end up at Wildcats here:

Sorted.

Ps. did you actually have something in mind like a meal, strippers, clubs, live music? anything else?

Thanks for the reply- done the water front about a year back and would probably agree with you.

Thinking more along the lines of activity/pubs/bars/clubs.

Oh strip bars toohehe

Anywhere that will probably be knee deep in clunge will be a winner- most lads will be single.

Activity wise, paintballing/clay pigeon/karting.

With regards to karting, I've heard about Ice Karting on here in or around bristol?

Thanks again.

the John Nike Ice skating do the Ice Karting..around £40 per person when we went

Theres a place in Portishead (just outside of Bristol) which does paintballing, karting and laser games all at the same site. If you ask them they can also arrange clay pigeon for you too, their webiste is http://www.skirmishbristol.co.uk/ the marshalling guys are great, ex paintballing champs, and there a few pretty ladies in the canteen

We had a great day out (corporate, rather than stag) here:

Mud, shooting, hovercraft - what more could one want?

Bristol centre in the evening is my idea of hell. However, The Apple is a great place to get battered.

I'm a student in bristol wink

I'd suggest a bar crawl up park street, toward one of the clubs/bars which is open very late around the triangle.

Either that or bar crawl it down the bars at the bottom of Whiteladies Road, the bars around triangle, then down Park Street and end in one of the centre's clubs and probably Wildcats!

24 Hr casino is down there too for you late nighters who can seem sobre when ruined smile

I know Club Creme is in Old Market, but being female myself wouldn't know if it's any good so i'll let the guys answer that one biggrin
I can get the names of a few other places from some mates if you want to check them out first, but I'm sure the guys on here will come up with more than a few hehe

Can get you all free entry into Central chambers just off Corn street (normally £10) and now they have a license for full nudity woohoo

www.central-chambers.co.uk

Depending on how many there are you may struggle getting into places on Whiteladies Rd and the Triangle (my haunts and we can struggle with 6 of us), As chavvy as it is you will probably be better off in Beruit (sorry meant the waterfront) and Oceana (which is st but full of clunge) is big enough to cater for a big group, 6 bars, two clubs all in one building.

All I would recommend is you book in advance, as nothing worse than being on a stag do not being to get in anywhere.
