Sorry to hear that, I'll mention it to one of the girls that works for us- she's the photographer for the South Devon Mini club.

ETA, actually, a thread is already running on their forum.

Well!! After lots of posting on Forums and on Facebook by lots of people AMAZINGLY we found the Mini!!! biggrin

After it had been stolen it had been moved to another area of the city in a small cul-de-sac, parked up and covered over! Randomly a guy we know who is a delivery driver happened to be in this street today and spotted "a Mini under a cover" but didnt think anything of it until he saw everyone looking for one on the net!

He contacted a friend of mine who passed the details to me and I passed them to the owner and we all went to check it out!
Much to his relief it was his beloved car under the cover but he waited for the Police to turn up before uncovering it!

They had removed the rear window completely to gain entry but didnt smash it and left it behind, They had hotwired the car damaging the ignition and stolen the CD player from the dash! Other than this the car is fine and has now been recovered to a safe location!

It also looks like it was nothing really to do with the ebay ad or at very least someone wanted to steal it before it was sold!!

The power of the internet is amazing!!

Heres some pics from tonight...................

What an awesome result.

Some dirty sticky fingered piece of s**t that couldnt keep their mits off someone elses pride and joy. It make me so angry. Its not like it was some old £50 fiesta that the owner probably wouldnt care about.

Very pleased it is back pretty much in one piece.

Did the police take any swabs for DNA, fingerprints etc, would be nice if they did and catch the sts that did this. Just proves what a great bunch of PHers there are in the south west and how we can all help each other in cases such as this. Well done to all concerned

Excellent result!

As for the Police catching the scrotes - when my car got done the police caught two blokes with stuff they had stolen from my car, and got their prints off the rear screen which they had cut out.

The outcome? No prosecution.

Still only cost me a new rear window seal so I guess I was lucky.
